ARNHEM – A lioness in the Arnhem zoo Burgers’ Zoo gave birth to two cubs in front of visitors on Monday. Soon after birth, the lioness moved her young to a shelter outside the view of the public. The lioness decides when she and her cubs will be back, says a zoo spokesman. “In nature too, a pregnant female temporarily sheds herself to shed and nurse her young in the first period.”
