Visiting Tel Aviv, the German Foreign Minister Expresses ‘Solidarity’ with Israel

TEL AVIV – Minister of Foreign Affairs German , Heiko Maas expressed his support for Israel and called for an intermediate ceasefire Israel , and Hamas. This was conveyed by Maas during a visit to Israel.

Maas’ visit to Israel took place exactly 10 days after the fighting between Israel and Hamas took place. In which, more than 200 Palestinians in Gaza were killed, including children and from the Israeli side, 12 people were reported killed, including a soldier.

He said that he had always been in communication with the Israeli Foreign Minister, Gabi Ashkenazi during the past week. In addition, he also communicates with his counterparts from Egypt, Qatar, Jordan and also the United States (US).

As well as visiting Israel, Maas is scheduled to visit the West Bank, where he will meet Palestinian President Mahmoud Abbas. The senior German diplomat admitted that he had no agenda to meet with Hamas.
