Visit of sister city delegations to the student quarter – Dunakanyar Region

The II. The delegation of Stary Sacz and Székelykeresztúr, participating in the Dunakeszi Mindmegeszi cabbage and cabbage competition, visited the Dunakeszi Student Quarter, which will be opened in September, and which is already 95 percent technically ready, after the ceremonial town hall meeting. Mayor Csaba Dióssi guided the guests in the student town, which is home to two high schools.

“There can be enormous preparatory and organizational work behind the gigantic construction, which could not be easily started after the period affected by the Covid epidemic, which paralyzed our economic and everyday life,” said Jacek Lelek after the visit. According to the mayor of Stary Sacz, the fact that despite the economic difficulties caused by the Russian-Ukrainian war, it was possible to build such an impressive school center with the support of the Hungarian government proves the lobbying power of the Dunakes municipality and its faith in the future.

– The new educational institution will have a huge impact on the life of Dunakeszi and the surrounding settlements. I really like the student quarter, congratulations to Mayor Csaba Dióssi, they are doing a great job! Jacek Lelek stated.

– Years ago, we already talked about the government’s decision to start construction, which is currently Hungary’s largest education development investment. And now, as citizens of Székelykeresztúr, we looked at the fantastic facilities of the student quarter in amazement, said Mayor Hunor-János Koncz.

– As Mayor Csaba Dióssi said, such a huge investment would tie up Dunakeszi’s 60-year development resources, something we can’t even dream of in our small market town. It’s a huge national investment that we think is well-placed. We are proud that our sister settlement, Dunakeszi, is developing so spectacularly. The volume and quality of construction is impressive. I think this is a huge achievement these days! I wish the people of Dunakes and the surrounding area that this truly elegant and high-quality investment becomes the home of quality education, said Hunor-János Koncz, mayor of Székelykeresztúr.
