U.S. President Donald Trump has again suggested that China is responsible for the spread of the coronavirus during a press conference at the White House. “If people had been informed, the virus could have been stopped, said the American President.
Donald Trump believes that if China had caught a pandemic when it started, and passed on information about the disease, the situation would not have reached the current proportions. “Now everyone, or almost, is infected with this terrible virus,” he accused.
At the beginning of the press conference Donald Trump once again referred to Covid-19 as “Chinese virus”, a term that the Government of China considers offensive. Tom Cotton, a Republican senator from the state of Arkansas, agrees with the American president and said that “China must be held responsible for this epidemic outbreak”.
The United States of America (USA) may enter an economic recession because of the Covid-19 pandemic and Donald Trump has already opened up that possibility, but he has also said that the American economy “will have tremendous growth” when the pandemic is under control.
