Virus species
Virus Saaremaa is a single-stranded, negative-sense, RNA virus Orthohantavirus which causes a milder form of Hantavirus hemorrhagic fever with renal syndrome. It is a virus member of Orthohantavirus Dobrava-Belgrade.[1] It was first isolated from a striped field mouse in Slovakia.[2]
