New Delhi – Indian cricketer Virat Kohli and his wife and Bollywood star Anushka Sharma have a baby boy. Although the baby was born on the 15th of this month, the Virat-Anushka couple made it public today. Both also announced that the baby has been named ‘Akai’. Virat Kohli informed the world about the birth of his baby through his official social media account. Kohli also requested that their privacy be respected at this stage.
Virat Kohli wrote on Instagram, “It is with great joy and heartfelt love that we announce the birth of a baby brother named Akai to Vamika on February 15.”
“We want your best wishes and blessings in this happiest moment of our lives. We also humbly request that everyone respect our privacy at this stage. Love and thanks to all. Virat and Anushka’ – Kohli noted.
Kohli had withdrawn from the first three matches of the Test series against England. With this, the rumor that the Koli-Anushka couple is going to give birth to a second child has spread widely. Kohli’s close friend and South African player A.B. De Villiers confirmed this. The BCCI later clarified that Kohli will not play in the Test series against England.
Virat Kohli and Anushka Sharma got married in 2017, putting an end to long rumours. On January 1, 2021, the Kohli-Anushka couple had their first child. Both of them named the elder girl as Vamika. Vamika’s younger brother was born shortly after the elder’s third birthday.
