Indonesian National Team U-16 made it to the final round AFF U-16 Cup to face Vietnam. The ticket for the top party was won after Garuda Muda defeated Myanmar in the semifinals on Wednesday (10/8) yesterday.
National team U-16 drew 1-1 in normal time. Continued to the penalty round, they won 5-4. The Indonesian goalkeeper, Andrika Fathur, was able to hold off one Myanmar kicker, Shine Wanna Aung. Garuda Asia can advance to the Final AFF U-16 Cup 2022.

Milky Way, The U-16 national team coach, received the spotlight for his leadership in training the Garuda Muda squad. The Milky Way is not only concerned with technical and physical matters, but also shapes the players’ personalities!
Recently circulating on social media, and viral, a video showing the U-16 national team players in the locker room before the match. They face the wall or locker, looking at the photo of each other’s parents in front of them.
They looked so emotional when they saw their parents. They mourned the photo of their parents deeply, as if asking for their blessing to fight in the field.
In the video on PSSI’s official YouTube account before the U-16 Indonesian National Team competed against Vietnam, Milky Way revealing this method is one of the efforts to strengthen the mentality of the young players!
“Seeing the mental and emotional state of these children who are still unstable, and sometimes they like to remember their parents. So I and the coaching team and officials agreed to put photos of the players’ parents in the players’ locker room,” he said.
“So that they can continue to remember the two people who have given birth and raised them all this time, and pray for their parents,” said Bima as quoted from the official PSSI website.
