Violinist Kristīne Balanas and clarinetist Wencels Fukss will perform in the concert hall “Cēsis”
Riga, July 14, LETA. On Saturday, July 24, violinist Kristīne Balana and leading clarinetist Wenceslas Fukss of the Berlin Symphony Orchestra will perform in the concert hall “Cēsis”.
Continuing the “Three Balans Residence” in the concert hall “Cēsis” and celebrating the centenary of Latvian-German diplomatic relations, on July 24 listeners will have the opportunity to enjoy the international project “Music Labyrinth”, which will gather violinist Balanas orchestra of young Latvian musicians conducted by Canadian conductor Stanley Dods.
Salnikova reminded that on February 1, 1921, diplomatic relations were established between Latvia and Germany, when Germany de iure recognized the existence of the Latvian state. On August 28, 1991, bilateral relations between the two countries were resumed. The German Embassy in Latvia has decided to celebrate these historical events with a special concert in the “Cēsis” concert hall.
“Music unites our countries in a very special way. It is nice that after a long refusal, it is possible to enjoy music in person again,” said German Ambassador to Latvia Christian Helsts.
The concert “Music Labyrinth” is supported by the State Cultural Capital Foundation and the German Embassy in Latvia.
Concert tickets are valid only in conjunction with a Covid-19 vaccination or illness certificate, which certifies that the visitor has completed a full course of vaccination against Covid-19 or has been ill with Covid-19 in the last six months. When attending the event, an identity document, a personalized ticket and a valid certificate must be presented.
