This weekend the Viñales Moda event took place in its 34th edition, a contest that already transcends the borders of the municipality and gains followers from various territories.
Organized by the Casa de Cultura Marina Azcuy, it had participants from Sandino, Mantua, Consolación del Sur, Minas de Matahambre, Pinar del Río and Viñales itself and is part of the activities that celebrate the 45th anniversary of the Houses of Culture system.
On this occasion, there was a competition in the categories of Design, Mannequin and Fantasy. In the Design section, Caridad Suárez Valdés, from the Viñales municipality, won first prize; In Maniquí, the award went to Alalyn Pérez, from Pinar del Río, and in Fantasy, María del Carmen García Rodríguez, from Consolación del Sur, was recognized.
In addition, the jury, made up of Jesús Pantoja Díaz, Abilio Mitjans and Daymy Azcuy Rodríguez, who has received multiple awards as a model in previous competitions, decided to award another two prizes in each section and a mention.
