VIVA – Norwegian club, Viking FK and naturalized Indonesian national team player, Shayne Pattynama have officially parted ways. This announcement was made by Viking FK on Thursday, December 7 2023.

Viking FK Sports Director, Erik Nevland, expressed his gratitude for Shayne Pattynama’s dedication over the years. According to him, this player is one of Viking Fk’s best recruits.

“Shayne is a good signing for us considering he has contributed as much as he has. He is progressing well, and we are aware that the plan is to be at Viking for some time before he moves on,” he said.

“We just wish him the best in facing what lies ahead, and want to thank him for everything he has done both on and off the field,” continued Erik.

“He has been a very good ambassador for the club and has won a lot of fans in Stavanger. It’s very nice when foreign players show themselves from a side like that,” said Erik.

Meanwhile, Shayne is very grateful for all the memories he gained while playing at SR-Bank Arena.

“Thank you for this time, Vikings! These have been amazing years and times I will never forget,” exclaimed Shayne on the official Vikings website.

The competition in the Norwegian League itself has ended. Shayne successfully helped Viking finish in fourth place in the standings with 58 points from 30 matches.

“Shayne Pattynama did not extend his contract which will expire after the season ends so will not be seen wearing the navy blue uniform in 2024,” the Vikings said in a statement.

Shayne previously joined Viking in 2021. He previously played for the Dutch club, SC Telstar. He became one of the important pillars of the Viking squad. While playing there, he made more than 100 appearances in all competitions.
