Vietnamese designer presents his creations in New York

Stylist Dô Manh Cuong presented his new collection on September 11 at Spring Studio, in the United States, as part of New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2024.

Fashion designer Dô Manh Cuong unveiled 50 new models during New York Fashion Week Spring Summer 2024, featuring 30 models selected by American casting director Jennifer Starr.

The Vietnamese designer demonstrated his expertise in sewing techniques, shape construction and combining details and colors. He used a variety of materials including tweed, brocade, tafta, cotton, silk, fur, muslin, with main colors including black, white and pink.

Iconic 3D floral details are highlighted in the Vietnamese designer’s collection.

For the first time, the designer has designed costumes with elaborate details that are both practical and efficient. The iconic 3D floral patterns are once again highlighted in this latest collection. They are integrated into a design inspired by the fashion of New York fashionistas.

Dô Manh Cuong also presented unique and beautiful designs of bags with 3D flowers.

The highlight of the show was the “S” shaped parade runway reminiscent of the map of Vietnam, creating distinction while paying homage to his country. Dô Manh Cuong expressed his pride in having infused the spirit and image of the country into this fashion show.

Furthermore, despite the standard rule of New York Fashion Week limiting the duration of shows to 9 minutes, Dô Manh Cuong’s lasted approximately 15 minutes, thanks to the approval of the organizers.

Many Vietnamese and international personalities attended the show, including Miss Universe 2022 R’Bonney Gabriel, Miss Universe Thailand 2007 Farung Yuthithum, actress Ninh Duong Lan Ngoc, model Lê Xuân Tiên and Miss Universe Vietnam 2022 Ngoc Châu.
