–The new version spreads faster in the air. In particular, it is de facto like the Indian version, but with mutations that were originally inherent in the British version, the minister said. This was found by gene sequencing.
Vietnam has so far announced the circulation of seven variants of the coronavirus in the country. Now research has shown that the new variant replicates very quickly and this explains why so many new cases of infection have appeared in different parts of the country in a short period of time. Since the second half of April, nearly 3,600 people have been infected in 31 of Vietnam’s 63 cities and provinces, BTA reports.
