Viergever and Willems cannot make a fist against ten Bayern men | Foreign football

Bayern Munich has booked a victory against Greuther Fürth on Friday. Coach Julian Nagelsmann’s team won 3-1, although it was only ten players on the field from the 49th minute. French international Benjamin Pavard was shown a red card for a foul. Bayern were already leading 2-0 at that time.

After ten minutes, the team had taken the lead with a goal from Thomas Müller. That meant that the South German club has scored at least one goal in a league game for the 53rd time in a row. Only Bayern itself ever set up a longer series: from April 2012 to March 2014 with 65 matches in which the team scored. The current series started in February 2020.

After half an hour, Joshua Kimmich doubled the lead. Shortly after the break, Pavard disappeared from the field, after which an own goal by Sebastian Griesbeck prevented it from becoming exciting in Fürth. It was only in the 88th minute that the home team did something back via the Swiss Cédric Itten: 1-3.
