Since last week, the Robert Koch Institute has also recommended wearing face masks in public. Although the light paper masks that are issued at supermarket entrances and the cloth rags that many sew themselves these days do not guarantee protection against infection with corona viruses.
Masks that cover the mouth and nose – like a scarf or a face veil – are nevertheless a protection for the environment when sneezing or coughing. So that the competitive market for disposable medical masks is not burdened even more, it is almost a sign of solidarity these days to leave the house with a self-made fabric mask.
