Several forest fires have broken out in the Turkish holiday region of Antalya that have not yet been brought under control. The fire brigade fought against the flames with a large contingent. Fire-fighting planes and helicopters were also used. Emergency teams from the surrounding provinces were also on duty. The fire was driven by the wind in the direction of residential areas and several residential areas had to be evacuated. Fatalities were initially not reported. The district administrator of the Manavgat district said tourists are not at risk at the moment. The cause of the fires is still unclear. The fire broke out in four places, officials said.
