Mexico.- The still head of the Ministry of Public Education (SEP), Esteban Moctezuma Barragan, sent a message to the teachers and teachers from Mexico before the beginning of the year 2021.

Through the YouTube platform, the Secretary of Education congratulated the teachers for their effort and dedication during 2020, which was an atypical year due to the COVID-19 pandemic and which forced the educational community to face a very important challenge versus the education of boys and girls.
“Today I want to congratulate in a very special way the teachers, who, with all the instruments, tools, but above all the will and heart that they had at hand, went out to look for the girls and boys and were permanently in contact with them and with them so that learning is not interrupted, and that was achieved, that was achieved and we have evidenced it in the evaluations, as well as in the studies that we have through surveys and questionnaires ”, said Moctezuma Barragán.
The congratulations were also addressed to mothers and fathers, who since March 2020 when schools closed their doors to avoid COVID-19 infections and started online classes through the Learn at Home program, also made an effort to take forward the education of their children from home with the support of teachers.

“I also want to congratulate in a very special way the mothers and fathers of the family, the tutors as well, who together with their daughters and sons made this learning continue. But not only did our girls and boys learn, our teachers, our mothers and fathers also learned, and we learn educational authority ”.
The head of the SEP, stressed that thanks to the model used during 2020, a personalized education was achieved and that mothers and fathers were closer to their children and teachers.
“That co-responsibility towards the home and the school has already been achieved and we have already incorporated it, you can read it in the third constitutional article, that is how important it is. Today, male and female teachers are revalued in our 2018 studies, they occupied a tenth place in society’s appreciation of their profession, and today they occupy the first ”, he said.
