Ukrainian coach “Al-Ain” Sergei Rebrov almost got into a fight with an opposing manager after a UAE League Cup match.
On December 16, in the second leg of the quarterfinals, Al-Wahda and Al-Ain drew (1:1). Rebrov’s club advanced to the semifinals thanks to the away goals rule (0:0 at home).
Ukrainian Andriy Yarmolenko came out in the Al-Ain first team, received a yellow card and was substituted in the 83rd minute.
After the final whistle, team coaches Sergei Rebrov and Manolo Jimenez almost had a fight during a handshake. The Spaniard complained to Rebrov, he replied, but the fight was prevented by other representatives of the teams.
