Palmeiras flew from Montevideo to São Paulo to the rhythm of samba, with a lot of partying on board the plane and music with improvised lyrics, many of them with special dedications for Wlliam Arão, Flamengo player who had said, before the game, that the Rio team was going to win 2-0.
Musical references to Arão started at the spa, in Montevideo, and were constant throughout the flight to São Paulo. In one of the letters, the Palmeiras players signaled that Arão was going to land at Galeão, Rio de Janeiro airport, without the announced trophy in his hands.
