Throughout the duel, Trizano controlled the center of the octagon and pushed Klein. In the 1st round, he intervened mainly from the contours, sending the new man twice into the mesh.

Klein was looking for an ideal distance in the 1st round and in the next course. Trizano covered the initial attempt at the dreaded high kick, but a minute and a quarter before the end did not defend the takedown. The Slovak plunged beautifully and thanks to a successful shot he won a careful 1st round, although according to the points tickets, only one of the three referees scored it.
