VIDEO How spectacular is Mass Effect Legendary Edition, the game for the new generation

The Mass Effect series is one of the best ever created, and in about a month, it will be reinvented for a new generation of gamers.

Mass Effect Legendary Edition is set to launch soon for a new generation of next-gen PCs and consoles. It will include the entire remastered original trilogy, to enjoy it with impressive details at 4K resolution, on sufficiently capable configurations.

If for fans of the series it was not obvious the effort invested in this project called Legendary Edtion, the people from Bioware also published a promotional video called Remastered Comparison Trailer. As the name suggests, it helps you see in real time how big the differences are from the visual experience of more than a decade ago and the current one, from 2021.

The launch of the new trailer was accompanied by a post on the official blog in which the developer details in detail the level at which this project was worked on. How much emphasis was placed on updating the textures to include even more details, on the significantly more realistic lighting system, on shadows and special effects in general.

But if you don’t have the patience for such technical peculiarities, maybe you are lucky enough to own a 4K screen to see the trailer in all its splendor. If you played Mass Effect in your youth, any of them, the new game will not tell another story, but will tell it in a significantly more attractive way.

All the cut-scenes in the game have been remastered in 4K, and the peculiarities of the graphics engine that you could only see in Mass Effect 3, now they have been portrayed in previous titles. It’s not yet clear how impressive the gaming experience will be on PlayStation 5 or Xbox Series X, but you don’t have much to look forward to anyway, with The Legendary Edition launching on May 14th.
