In Argentina, the vaccination campaign against Covid-19 has caused a political scandal. According to insiders, health minister Gines Gonzalez Garcia made sure that some selected people got the vaccine even though it was not yet their turn. After the minister was asked to resign by President Fernandez, Gonzalez Garcia resigned from office. He announced on Twitter that there had been people who had bypassed the proper award procedure. He himself was not in the office at the time. Argentina has been vaccinating with the Russian vaccine Sputnik V since December. However, the dates are rare and anyone who wants to be vaccinated must first undergo a registration process.
