Video circulates with a bag full of bundles of bills in the Lozoya case

Through an account on the YouTube social network, a video was released in which former Senate officials of the Republic receiving money in cash, presumed to be bribes. It is a bag full of bundles of bills, in Mexican pesos.

Consulted in this regard, the General Prosecutor of the Republic it replied that such evidence has not been presented in the case.

In the video appears Guillermo Gutiérrez Badillo, who worked in the Senate and is currently the private secretary of the Governor of Querétaro, Francisco Domínguez.

Also appears who so far is presumed to be Rafael Caraveo, former technical secretary of the Senate.

According to the information released by the head of the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) Alejandro Gertz Manero, last week Emilio Lozoya reported that between 2013 and 2014 he received orders from Enrique Peña Nieto and Luis Videgaray to operate bribes in the Senate of the Republic to obtain the approval of the structural reforms.

The video originally appeared on an account by who he claims to be Emilio Lozoya’s brother.

Considering that it is a matter of national interest, President Andrés Manuel López Obrador requested in the morning that the details of the complaint presented by Emilio Lozoya Austin, former director of Pemex, be disseminated, without violating due process, in the case of alleged bribes for the approval of the Energetic reform, and that the video that Lozoya Austin gave to the Attorney General’s Office (FGR) be broadcast on open television.

At a press conference, the head of the federal Executive affirmed that they will seek to recover all the public money stolen in this case and if the former presidents are to be judged, it will be through a public consultation, but where the defense of the former presidents will be guaranteed.

In his complaint, Lozoya affirmed before the FGR that he has a video and four witnesses of his statements, among them that 120 million pesos in bribes were given to congress to then approve the structural reforms.
