However, the light ‘ball’ turned out to be a US Navy Trident-II ballistic missile, which was launched from a submarine for a test, CBS meteorologist Zach Covey wrote on his Twitter account. The projectile, equipped with nuclear warheads, has a range of more than 11,000 kilometers.
