Vice President Iliyana Yotova Criticizes Bulgarian Government’s Commitment to President Zelenski

Yesterday is proof that the criticism of the president aims to distract the attention of the Bulgarian public from what exactly the Bulgarian government has undertaken as a commitment to President Volodymyr Zelenski. Vice President Iliyana Yotova said this to journalists.

“The differing opinions of the Prime Minister and the Minister of Defense show a desire to hide something from the Bulgarian public. One talks about how we will give everything to Ukraine, except the planes, the other – that we will give what we can”, she added.

“Yesterday, the Prime Minister had to interpret the words of his minister all day, that is, there is something hidden,” said Yotova categorically.

Prof. Kanchev: The president behaved inappropriately during his meeting with Zelensky

“I will remind you, in May, President Zelensky was on a similar tour in Western Europe. His requests were specifically put there, and he received specific answers. He didn’t get a concrete answer from us, that worries me”, she added.

Asked what her analysis is of Zelensky’s visit and the third package of aid that Bulgaria will send to Ukraine, Yotova explained: “This reading is pending, let’s wait to see how things will develop in the coming days and the commitments that Bulgaria will make in Vilnius. I hope that the executive power and the prime minister will be so good as to be honest with the Bulgarian society, with us as Bulgarians, and say what these commitments are.”

“You don’t expect me to interpret the President’s words, do you? He stated his position, which he expressed many times at various international levels, and on the B-9 form, including at the Summit in Brussels, as well as to the Ukrainian delegation?”, added the vice president.
