Vettel about double header: ‘Even less room for mistakes’

Sebastian Vettel will start his fourteenth season in Formula 1 next week. The German, like the rest of the sport, will experience two consecutive races on the same circuit for the first time. According to Vettel, this will provide additional analyzes, but also less space to make mistakes.

With the Austrian and Styrian Grand Prix ahead, Formula 1 will host two consecutive races on the same track for the first time in its history. “I have no experience going back to the same track a week later and driving a second race, but I’ve been running for a while,” said Vettel.

According to the German, fine-tuning the strategy will be important during the second weekend on the Red Bull Ring. “I think we need to take a close look at the race to review the strategy. Seven days later we get another chance, that is a first. We will see how we tackle that challenge. ”

The room for errors will also be much smaller, according to Vettel. “The need for perfection will be even greater during the second weekend, then there will be even less room for error.”
