If the Duchess of Cambridge was alone for the ladies’ final which was played on Saturday at Wimbledon, she was however well surrounded for the men’s final on July 10. Kate Middleton indeed arrived at the All England Lawn Tennis Club in London accompanied by her husband William and their eldest son George. A great first for the almost 9-year-old prince, who had never before taken place in the very select Royal Box.
Again and again, Prince George showed his shyness when he arrived at the tournament. Encouraged by his parents, he still led the march to the VIP stands. Although this is his first time at the tournament, the prince is no novice when it comes to tennis. A fervent football supporter like his dad, he also inherited his mother’s passion for the little yellow ball, so much so that he has been fine-tuning his backhand for a few years now. For her third outing at Wimbledon, Kate Middleton bet on her fashion essentials: an Alessandra Rich polka dot dress, her favorite print and one of her favorite brands. The 40-year-old Brit completed her set with a pair of two-tone pumps (also Alessandra Rich).
Before attending the final between Novak Djokovic and Nick Kyrgios, the godmother of the All England Lawn Tennis Club had already shown herself on Saturday in the stands in a yellow dress, not far from her friend Tom Cruise. Her first participation in the tournament dates back to Tuesday, the day she was able to meet her parents Carole and Michael Middleton in the stands.
