The youth area, located behind the media library, welcomes teenagers aged 11 to 16 with flexible hours, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A dozen teenagers attended the center which was full during all school holidays.
“We have offered many activities to young people who come, whether it’s the laser game, the arena form in Sauvian, karting, movie nights followed by a fast-food meal or the escape game in Béziers. The children also painted the logo of the center in graffiti. We were helped in the design by Julien Gilmas who is a graphic designer, but it was the teenagers who made the proposal and finalized the painting on the wall of the facade”points out Guillaume Naturel, the director.
“We have also organized outdoor camps under the responsibility of three animators and, for the next holidays, we will create our own escape game in partnership with the SAS escape game of Béziers. We also intend to do some expansion work in the center and reconnect with the youth evenings which have been suspended due to the Covid”adds Angéline Scafa, the host.
