Max Verstappen can’t wait to see Cyril Abiteboul’s tattoo. After the Grand Prix of Eifel, the Dutchman went through a number of scenarios with his engineer and team boss.
After the race last Sunday, it was one of the topics of conversation: the upcoming tattoo of Cyril Abiteboul. The Renaultteam boss has made a bet with Daniel Ricciardo. If the Australian manages to get on the podium this season, the Frenchman will get a tattoo. Ricciardo can choose what should be placed, Abiteboul decides where it will be placed.

The time had come during the Grand Prix of Eifel. After a strong performance by Ricciardo and outages of Valtteri Bottas in Alexander Albon the cheerful driver crossed the line third. However, the bet between him and his team boss has become a household name in recent weeks. This is also evident from the on-board radio of Max Verstappen and his team immediately after the race.
“I wonder which tattoo he will choose for Cyril,” it sounds when Verstappen is told by his engineer that his old teammate is on the podium. Christian Horner also rubs his hands: “Looks like he’s getting a tattoo on his ass, Max. A nice big Red Bull,” he laughs. Watch the full clip below.
