With this new operation, the Adelaide Group – which manages the Verlingue subsidiary – continues to execute its 2024 strategic plan with the ambition of becoming a major family-owned and independent European insurance broker. By becoming the majority shareholder of the broker Inser, Verlingue becomes a reference broker on the Italian market for SMEs, ETIs, large companies, and public authorities. The signed partnership provides for Verlingue to become the majority shareholder of INSER, while the historic shareholder, ISA, will retain a minority stake and continue to support its growth in Italy.

35% international activity

Founded in 1979 in Trento, Inser focuses its activity on corporate risks and public markets. The Italian broker employs nearly 160 people spread over eight offices concentrated mainly in northern Italy. All of these 160 employees are therefore joining Verlingue, whose share of international turnover now represents 35% of its turnover. « I am delighted that Adelaide is establishing itself in Italy, the fourth largest insurance market in Europe. This opens up a lot of positive perspectives for our customers who are increasingly internationalrejoices Benjamin Verlingue, Deputy CEO of the Adelaïde group.

Inser represents the 7th international acquisition of the Quimper Group in seven years, after those in Switzerland (2016, 2017 and 2019), the United Kingdom (2018) and Portugal (2020, 2022).

« Verlingue’s European project is exciting and Italy represents a strategic country. Thanks to this partnership, we will be able to reinforce our development trajectory, both through organic growth and through targeted acquisitions, in order to consolidate our positioning and offer a high quality service to our customers. “, continues Pierpaolo Ruggeri, leader of Inser.
