The bill provides for the restoration of taxation for vehicles imported by citizens. Privileges for goods imported by payers of the single tax of the first, second and third groups are also abolished.
As UNIAN reported earlier, on March 24, the Verkhovna Rada adopted the Law “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the improvement of legislation for the period of martial law.” So, in particular, individuals were exempted from paying customs duties when importing vehicles.
The day before in the Verkhovna Rada government bill No. 7418 registered “On Amendments to the Tax Code of Ukraine and other legislative acts of Ukraine regarding the revision of certain tax benefits” on the abolition of benefits for the import of cars from abroad to Ukraine.
The explanatory note notes that during the period of exemption from import taxation, more than 119 thousand cars were imported, cases of premium class are not uncommon. As a result, the state budget suffered losses in the amount of UAH 13 billion.
It is also noted that, according to customs statistics, the average monthly loss of budget revenues amounted to about UAH 3 billion of VAT and import duties.
