Verkhovna Rada Committee supports recall of MP Maryana Bezugla – January 10 vote expected

The Verkhovna Rada Committee on Regulations unanimously supported the recall of MP from the Servant of the People faction Maryana Bezugla from the post of deputy head of the Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. Now the decision must be made by the Verkhovna Rada.

The Committee recommended that the Verkhovna Rada include the corresponding draft out of turn without voting on the agenda of the session.

“Accordingly, parliament may consider the resolution as early as January 10,” Zheleznyak wrote and added that Bezuglaya will remain a member of the National Security Committee.

Criticism of the military leadership by Bezugla

Let us remind you that Maryana Bezuglaya is known for recently publicly criticizing the Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Valery Zaluzhny. In particular, she accused the commander-in-chief of allegedly “lack of a war plan” for this year.

Last week, the Committee on National Security decided to recall Bezuglaya from her position as deputy chairman of the committee. One of the interlocutors in Servant of the People also predicted that there should be enough votes in favor of Bezugla’s release in the hall.

According to a KIIS survey, the majority of Ukrainians do not trust MPs from the Servant of the People Maryana Bezugloa (58.5%) and David Arakhamia (57%).
