Frankfurt / Offenbach (dpa / lhe) – A switch failure has caused delays and train cancellations on two S-Bahn lines in the Rhine-Main area since early Wednesday morning. The disturbance in the Offenbach district of Bieber occurred around 4.30 a.m., the Rhein-Main-Verkehrsverbund (RMV) told the short message service Twitter. At around 7.40 a.m., the RMV declared that the disturbance had ended. However, passengers would have to reckon with delays and canceled trains. S1 and S2 are affected. Just last week, a point failure in the Frankfurt S-Bahn tunnel had caused considerable problems.
