A few days ago, a tweet of his, a sentence on social media of just 27 words in which he attacked the Draghi government, was enough to unleash a very long trail of reactions, threats of legal actions and controversies. Here, if there is one thing that must be recognized in Yanis Varoufakis it is the ability to radicalize the public debate. The 59-year-old former Greek finance minister manages to divide the world in two: some think he’s just a “failed politician, for conferences”; and who, on the other hand, sees in him an enlightened one.
