Varna paragliders welcomed the new year with rescue operation. Their colleague Valery Kitanov fell with a paraglider on a rocky shore between Balchik and Kavarna on the first of January and was in distress for two days before being discovered, it was announced BNT.
The man lost control in the air due to bad weather. They found it in hypothermia, severely dehydrated and with broken legs, but now in good condition. The rescue operation began around midnight on January 2.
“One of the paragliders had published a post in which Valeri Kitanov was wanted. Then I contacted two of them – Mitaka and Slavi, and from there on a rather serious organization began,” said Georgi Todorov.
It becomes clear that the paraglider has chosen unsuitable place to flylanded by accident and at high speed due to the strong wind.
Valery Kitanov decides that he cannot get back in and walks to his car along the coast. It goes to 400 meters with broken legsand comes to a place where it can be seen more easily.
The injured paraglider is in good conditionhe has heel surgery on Monday.
