Varg Vikernes convicted of Euronymous’s murder
In 1994, Varg Vikernes was sentenced to 21 years in prison for manslaughter Oysteina “Euronymousa” Aarsetha, a famous guitarist from the Norwegian band Mayhem. The music was also accused of setting fire to three churches in Norway.
Vikernes, however, did not serve the entire sentence. He was paroled from prison after 16 years.
