Debut with victory for Demis Cavina’s Dinamo Sassari who at the first of the Supercoppa beat a remodeled Vanoli Cremona 80-74.
Top scorer of the match Professor Logan, who scored 20 points in 23 minutes with 3 out of 4 from two and 5 out of 10 from the arc with even 5 rebounds and 20 scores, the highest at Banco di Sardegna.
Vanoli Cremona after a slow start (Banco closes the first quarter ahead 23-15) returns to the game in the second half reaching the long interval under 36-32.
The guests remain glued throughout the third quarter which is closed ahead by the Sardinians only by two lengths (55-53).
In the final quarter, Vanoli lacked a bit of legs, Sassari took advantage of the longer rotations to reach +10 (67-58 at 33rd).
Galbiati’s team, however, does not give up and manages to close 80-74 with a single figure of disadvantage.
