Ajax director Edwin van der Sar has signed a cooperation agreement with Sharjah FC in the United Arab Emirates. The Amsterdammers report that it is a three-year agreement.
Ajax is going to help the club with the development of its youth education, while for Ajax itself it is a new step in expanding global partnerships with other clubs. The cooperation will initially take three years, but if it suits both parties, there is an option for another three years. Ajax has already made similar deals with Guangzhou R&F FC (China), Sagan Tosu (Japan) and Sydney FC (Australia).
“This is a next step for Ajax,” says Van der Sar on the club website. “We are delighted to expand our global football network with Sharjah FC, a club that has the same goal in the field of talent training. Our goal is to put together a strong youth education, the talents there to a higher level to lift. “
“Ajax has made great strides in recent years in sharing knowledge in this area. The demand for this is increasing, we are looking for partners that suit us well. We are convinced that we have found it in Sharjah FC”, the general said director of Ajax. Sharjah FC became champion of the United Arab Emirates last year.
