In a message on Twitter explains the parties that this was a tough decision, but one that became necessary for the team to achieve the goals for both quality and ambition.

– Our goal has always been to deliver the best game we can, to let you live in a World of Darkness version of Seattle and to deliver a worthy sequel to the original Bloodlines game. Due to the list we have set for quality and the ambitions we have set for ourselves, we have made the difficult decision that we need more time, the statement says.

The recent postponement is the second in a row, after that Vampire: The Masquerade – Bloodlines 2the release first became moved in October last year. At that time, the launch window was shifted from the first quarter of 2020 to “later in the year”, before it completely disappeared next year.

Hardsuit Labs and Paradox express understanding that fans are probably disappointed with the decision, but ask for understanding and confidence that the right decision has been made. The developer will now provide more information in the coming months, both about a new release date and about certain changes that are supposed to help the team reach its goal.
