Match lost by one point !
“It’s hard, hard,” sighed the president of RCA Cergy-Pontoise ((Val d’Oise, RCACP), David Prou, after the defeat of his team against Caen (27-28), Sunday November 24, at Jean-Loustau stadium. Everyone at the club knows that it will be tough until the end, probably until April 26, 2020, the end of the regular phase of the Federal Championship 3, to keep its place in this division. After 9 games (including 7 lost), RCACP occupies the 10e place with only one point ahead of the first relegation, Amiens (who has one more game to play, against Domont).
When they led by 11 points
With four marked trials (by Andéol Coste of Couëdic, Tristan Barassin, Baptiste Fillon and Valérian Sabliet), how did the Cergypontains let the victory slip when they led 27-16 in the second half?
“Doubt has crept into our heads and we lost this match on the last action,” said David Prou.
The doubt, the players do not manage to get rid of it in the meetings of this pool 1 always very close.
“We play well, we make a solid, serious match,” noted the president, while pointing “four missed opportunities to score in the first half, on forwards, in particular, and weaknesses in the rucks. “
