Vaccines, here are the Regions that have done the most. And that they could reopen sooner

According to the number of infections, despite the almost 500 deaths, Italy is turning almost all towards orange as early as Tuesday. 6 of the 9 regions currently in red are hoping for this: Piedmont, Lombardy, Emilia Romagna, Tuscany, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Calabria. But now these numbers will be intertwined with another figure: that of vaccinations. “It is clear that for the Regions that are far ahead with the most vulnerable, it will be easier to reopen”, explains the Prime Minister at a press conference. Mario Draghi.

“We will see – he explains – how to insert with the ministers the vaccination parameter of the categories at risk among the parameters that are used to authorize reopening. Think about how important it is especially for the reopening of schools, especially for those of the older ones: one of the criteria to close was that they returned home and infected the old, the grandparents “.

Taking into account vaccinations, therefore, there are other regions that could reopen. YouTrend, which every day draws up an index of the regional efficiency of vaccinations by crossing different data, puts Veneto, Lazio, Trentino, Tuscany and Alto Adige in the first places.

However, if we look only at the vaccinations of the over 70s – that is a large part of the fragile population of which Draghi speaks, to which numerous RSA guests should be added – the YouTrend data indicate the highest percentages of immunized people who received both the first and the second dose in the Autonomous Province of Bolzano (28.25%), in Molise (25.42%), in the Autonomous Province of Trento (25.07%), in Basilicata (22.40%) and in Emilia Romagna (21, 17%). But above the national average there are also Marche, Piedmont, Lazio, Liguria and Abruzzo.

The highest percentages of administration of the first dose alone to the elderly are instead reached in Veneto (51.09%), Autonomous Province of Bolzano (47.91%), Autonomous Province of Trento (47.33%), Lazio (45, 24%) and Emilia Romagna (44.53%). Molise, Valle D’Aosta, Tuscany, Marche and Basilicata follow, always above 38.40% nationally.

Worse to date, in the number of vaccines for over 70s, remain Calabria, Campania, Friuli Venezia Giulia, Lombardy, Puglia, Sardinia, Sicily and Umbria. But the data will then be crossed with Rt and the incidence of infections.
