Vaccination passport: what repercussions for bars and restaurants?

If the announcement of the introduction of a vaccine passport has convinced many people to be inoculated, other Quebecers are still reluctant in the face of vaccination.

For convinced antivaccines, such a measure changes absolutely nothing. These people prefer to deprive themselves of going to a restaurant rather than receiving an injection.

Some admit that such an incentive would make them change their minds, while others admit that they would resign themselves to going, in order to be able to go out.

As for restaurateurs, we are rather confident that the majority of customers would comply with the vaccination passport.

“I think it’s more the youngest who have a little more difficulty with that, while our family customers or people of a certain age understand the situation,” said the assistant manager of the creperie Chez Suzette, Martin Lussier.

The latter is of the opinion that bars and bistros will suffer much more from the vaccination passport, since they will be deprived of a greater part of their clientele.
