Usulutan adds its first victory in the National League

In a duel of losers from the previous day, this Sunday at the Las Delicias stadium La Libertad FC met against Usulutan, with the sole objective of adding their first points in the National Soccer League organized by Indes. Two penalties were protagonists in the game, one missed by the locals, and the other made by Elías Gumero for the usuluteco team, which ended up being key to take the three points to the east of the country.

In the 10th minute, La Libertad was able to go up on the scoreboard, however the Argentine Juan Mare crashed the penalty shot on the post. Subsequently, Usulutan responded with three clear shots on goal that goalkeeper Luis Carranza responded to by preventing his goal from falling. The aforementioned plays were the clearest in the first half of the game, with the visitors who were closer to opening the scoring.

While at 51 ‘Juan Mare again had the opportunity to vindicate himself, but his shot in front of the goal was saved in a great way by the goalkeeper from Usuluteco, Josué Ortega.

It seemed that the locals were finally getting excited about the game, but Usulután didn’t stop insisting on the La Libertad group’s cabin either. So, the Orientals did take advantage when a penalty was scored in their favor, the same one that their captain, Elías Gumero, made effective, to open the scoring and do justice for what they had shown within the synthetic field of Las Delicias.

After the goal, the game split, as there were many spaces, especially for Usulutan to take advantage of the cons, against a rival who could not find the formula to match the duel.

At the end, Carlos Henríquez was able to tie, but his unexpected shot in front of the Usuluteco goal went just wide. The victory was already sung for Usulutan, which thus obtained its first points in the National League.
