FBI agents have taken steps to arrest the Pentagon mole who released classified documents relating to US support for Ukraine in the war against Russia. This is Jack Teixeira, 21, a reservist airman of the 102nd division of the intelligence department of the Massachusetts Air National Guard. The young man was arrested in North Dighton, where he lives with his parents.
Teixeira was an assistant at the Air Force communications system, so he had access to classified documents which he then disseminated on some social channels and on the Thug Shaker Central group, where he was registered under the name OG (Original Gangster).
From what has been learned, the young computer technician just wanted to brag with his friends, so foreign interference is ruled out. Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky accused the Russian services of the leak. On his TikTok profile there are images that recall Nazism, but the US press also reported that Teixeira was passionate about weapons and that in a video he shouted racist phrases at a shooting range.
Pentagon spokesman Patrick Ryder spoke in terms of a “deliberate criminal act”, and the number of people who will be able to access classified documents has been reduced to the bone at the Pentagon.
Teixeira has already appeared before Boston Court Judge David Hennessy, who has indicted him on charges of “unauthorized transmission” of classified material.
