The main stock indices on the US Wall Street Stock Exchange closed lower at the end of trading on Friday.

The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed the trading session down by 286.89 points, or 0.9%, to reach 33,127.28 points.

The broader Standard & Poor’s 500 index lost 53.84 points, or 1.3%, to 4,224.16 points.

The Nasdaq Composite Index of technology stocks lost 202.37 points, or 1.5%, to reach 12,983.81 points.
