[サンフランシスコ 21日 ロイター] – At a campaign fundraising event held by US President Biden in San Francisco on the 21st, there was a scene in which he called Russian President Vladimir Putin a “crazy SOB.”

“We have crazy bastards like Putin and the constant fear of nuclear war, but the last existential threat to humanity is climate change,” Biden told donors.

Biden has used similar language to abuse others before.

He has a tendency to make unwritten statements at fundraising events, and his attacks on Mr. Putin in particular have sharply increased in intensity.

Last week, Biden criticized the death of Russian opposition activist Alexei Navalny in prison, saying “Putin and his thugs must have been involved.” The Russian government denies any involvement in Navalny’s death.

Meanwhile, former Republican President Donald Trump, who is expected to be a strong opponent to Biden, has praised Putin since he was in the White House. But he recently compared himself to Mr. Navalny, suggesting they both face politically motivated prosecutions.

Mr Biden said on the 21st that Mr Trump compared him to Mr Navalny, saying: “I don’t know how you can say that.”
