The United States is preparing additional sanctions against individuals involved in the transfer of military aid to Russia from North Korea and Iran, in particular ballistic missiles.

Details: Kirby noted that the United States has evidence that Russia received ballistic missiles from North Koreaas well as negotiations between Moscow and Tehran on obtaining similar weapons, about which media also wrote.
“In response to Russia’s activities with Iran and North Korea, we are taking a number of measures with allies and partners,” he announced.
Among other things, the United States wants to raise the issue of military cooperation between Pyongyang and Moscow at the UN Security Council, since it contradicts Security Council resolutions for which Russia itself previously voted.
“We will demand that Russia answer for yet another violation of its international obligations. Secondly, we will impose sanctions on those who facilitate the transfer of weapons between Russia and the DPRK and Russia and Iran,” the White House spokesman added.
Kirby also promised that the United States will continue to publish information and expose Russian weapons agreements in order to prevent other countries from “secretly helping the Russian war machine.”
