On Saturday evening, Iran made the first direct attack on Israel, in response to the April 1 strike on Tehran’s consulate in Damascus that was given to the Jewish state.
During the attack, Iran launched 185 drones, 36 cruise missiles, and 110 surface-to-surface missiles, according to the American New York Times.
America or Israel… who shot down most of Iran’s drones and missiles?
The Intercept website, citing American military sources, revealed that the United States shot down a large number of drones and missiles, more than Israel shot down during the Iranian attack.
He said: “More than half of Iran’s weapons were destroyed by American aircraft and missiles before they reached Israel. This was a military victory for the United States.”
He continued: “Intelligence estimates indicate that half of the weapons launched by Iran failed at launch or during flight due to technical problems.
He explained: “Of the 160 or so missiles and drones that were left, America shot down most of them. “
During the attack, the Israeli military reported that most of the missiles launched from Iran “were intercepted outside Israel’s borders.”
Three American officials also told Reuters that the US military shot down dozens of Iranian missiles aimed at Israel.
