US imposes sanctions against Cuban defense minister | In the world | Politics

Secretary of State Michael Pompeo said the United States imposed sanctions on Cuban Minister of Revolutionary Armed Forces Leopoldo Sintra Friasa, reports RIA News.

According to him, sanctions are imposed for alleged violations of human rights and support for the Venezuelan authorities and consist of a ban on entry into the United States.

It is noted that two children of Sintra Frias are also included in the sanctions list.

Previously reported that the US Treasury turned on Cuban company Corporacion Panamericana on the sanctions lists for Venezuela.

The agency said that Corporacion Panamericana is associated with the Cuban company Cubametales, specializing in the supply and sale of metals, fuels and lubricants.
