The US government is waging a war against the crypto industry and is trying to take control of Bitcoin. This was stated by the head of OpenAI and co-founder of Worldcoin Sam Altman in Joe Rogan’s podcast, writes Forbes.
“I’m excited about Bitcoin. The idea of a global currency that is not under the control of any government is a super logical and important step in technological development,” he noted.
Altman is concerned about how far the state will go in terms of oversight. He is strongly against national digital currencies (CBDCs).
Earlier, a participant in the current US election race, Robert Francis Kennedy Jr., called Bitcoin “the currency of freedom” and promised to protect the asset if elected president.
The politician also criticized American regulators for the “war against cryptocurrencies” and spoke out against CBDC.
Let us recall that in September, WSJ sources reported that OpenAI was negotiating with investors about the possible sale of shares and increasing the company’s valuation to $80-90 billion.
