US College Basketball: “Coach K” reaches Final Four with Blue Devils

Legendary basketball coach Mike Krzyzewski has reached the Final Four of the NCAA college championships with Duke University in his farewell season.

The Blue Devils defeated the Arkansas Razorbacks 78-69 in the so-called “Elite Eight” round in San Francisco. For Krzyzewski, known as “Coach K”, who has been the Duke University coach since 1980, it is the 13th place in the semi-finals of the college championship. The 75-year-old, who has more college wins than anyone in the sport’s history, has won five championships with Duke, most recently in 2015.

In the semifinals in New Orleans next weekend, Duke will face either arch-rivals North Carolina or surprise team Saint Peter’s, who meet on Sunday.

Krzyzewski also oversaw the USA Olympic team and won gold in 2008, 2012 and 2016.
